Hollywood Angels

The mission of the Hollywood Angels is to form a network of Christian entertainers, called “Hollywood Angels”, who will carry out the vision of Jesus by feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, comforting the sick, helping to mend the broken hearted, and bringing good news to the afflicted in Hollywood.

Hollywood Angel meetings will take place on Sunday evenings.  Although everyone is welcome to attend Hollywood Angel meetings, this organization is created especially for members of the entertainment industry who are facing the struggles, challenges, pressures, and temptations of pursuing a career in Hollywood.  The meetings will be lead by President of XXI Century entertainment, Kim Perez and/or Pastors Mike and Kana Steinmeyer, who will present an encouraging “message” to the Angels.  The Hollywood Angel meetings will be conducted in a non-traditional format in a relaxed environment in order to create a forum where “everybody knows everybody”.  A portion of the meetings will be dedicated to prayer.  A prayer hotline will always be available for anyone needing additional encouragement.  Vice-President, Daisy Ramos, will dedicate her time to the prayer requests.

The meetings will sometimes include guest speakers such as: pastors, celebrities, and/or representatives from charitable organizations, who will come and present their “plight or cause” to the Angels.  The Hollywood Angels will meet to discuss innovative ideas for community outreach projects, so they may assist these other organizations.  These outreach projects will give each member of the Hollywood Angels an opportunity to “perform acts of great kindness” within the Hollywood community.

In addition to the Hollywood Angel meetings and community outreach projects, each month the “angels” will plan a group activity such as bowling, picnic at the beach, dinner and a movie, or a visit to a family fun center, etc.  These group activities will provide wholesome entertainment and will also allow the “angels” to build healthy relationships.   

Obviously, everyone is aware of the “many temptations” of living in Hollywood, which leads us to the conclusion that it is critical that “believers” remain “united”. The Hollywood Angels will share a common vision that will link them “one to another”.  The Hollywood Angel meetings will create a strong support system so that when “one” stumbles, “another” will be there to encourage and hold them accountable.

Mike and Kana Steinmeyer have been involved with evangelistic ministry for over seventeen years.  They joined Youth with a Mission in 1989, where they discipled over 400 youth. Mike and Kana also embarked on a journey in missionary service for over thirteen years.  Their three children, Jessica, Caleb, and Jael traveled with their parents to twenty-two nations!  Mike has ministered in thirty-two nations, including Korea, Japan, Figi, and Costa Rica.

Mike is a 1994 graduate of Oral Roberts University with a degree in Evangelism.

Mike and Kana have served on local Church staffs in Oklahoma, Kansas, Hawaii and Missouri as Children’s Pastors, Youth Pastors and Senior Pastors.  Mike and Kana’s last assignment was in Missouri where they served as staff Evangelists in a local church.

In 2004 the Steinmeyer family attended a XXI Century entertainment open call audition in Kansas City with their son, Caleb.  Caleb’s acting skills opened an invitation for the Steinmeyers to embark on a new journey in Hollywood.  The Steinmeyer family currently reside in Burbank, California, where Caleb and Jael are pursuing the entertainment industry and their older daughter Jessica is pursuing the production side of the business.

Mike and Kana Steinmeyer are currently heading up the XXI Century entertainment “Hollywood Angels” ministry, where they lead monthly prayer meetings in Burbank with models, actors, managers, etc.  This “market place” ministry is designed especially for members of the entertainment industry who are dealing with the struggles and temptations of Hollywood.
